Nice semi-interactive museum just off Steep Hill. Has lots of Roman historic items and relics as well as other eras. Well worth a visit.

This museum focuses on archaeology and has large display areas. A visiting school group were enjoying learning to march like Roman soldiers. Admission is free, although donations are encouraged.

Popped in for a look round and stayed longer than expected. Interesting range of historical pieces to look at and plenty of information to aid interpretation. Entry is by donation or free. Cafe on site but didn’t try it.

The building is quite modern and has numerous artefacts set in a modern way but there are still glass cases of artefacts that many dull type of museums display. It did not really excite me and I am not sure it is very interesting to...More
