This was a great event - excellent value for money, lots to see and do. Both my boys enjoyed it hugely and it brought back memories of my own visits to the Museum when I was much younger!

I have been here many times, always something to get your interest. Special events are put on throughout the year. You really should go there when the pumps are working, it is quite a spectacle to witness.

Yes, the old beam engines that once pumped the sewage are here. Very splendid they are too. Also here are exhibitions about the old tram system, a huge steam crane, an exhibition about early cinematography, narrow gauge railway relics and a veteran car. Oh yes,...More

We walked out to the pumping station from the city centre; a really nice walk and some geocaches to find on the way too. The pumping station is a really interesting museum, it couldn't be more different to its space age neighbour! Free entry with...More

Many thanks Nicky for your visit and review, great to hear you had a good visit. Apologies for the access issue with the wheelchair, we are waiting for parts for the lift, so will have this repaired soon to provide better all round access.

Fascinating to see and understand a little bit about the local history and engineering. Friendly staff. If you're in the area this is one place that's definitely worth checking out.

Wasn't impressed with the space centre but weirdly was with this museum of sewage pumping! Spectacular victorian engineering! Friendly beardy guy on desk on arrival. Worth a donation to keep this wonderful place pumping over.
