We had a talk in one of the ancient rooms here about the discovery and exhumation of the body of King Richard III, followed by a champagne reception in another medieval room, then upstairs for a lunchtime banquet in a more modern part. All excellent....More

Actually I stumbled upon this building completely unplanned. All in all, I am happy I did. It was nice to see part of the Leicester city history and learn about the past. 30-45 minutes are enough and could be visited just after seeing the King...More

For free, who can grumble. Well laid out and informative . I feel that the displays were designed more for younger people, butility nothing wrong with that. All in all, a very pleasant waye or spending an hour .

The Church-multi-bells can be very annoying. If you are not from the city it will be very surprising the loudness and frequency even at 9 PM. At first it hears interesting, after sequence 3 you start thinking...…….why so loud and why that complex sound.

Thanks for your review and visit to The Guildhall. Sorry the Cathedral bells are too loud, it may have been the evening of their bell ringing practice.

It's very well preserved. I had been meaning to visit the Guildhall for ages but never got round to visit it. I saw it was open and decided to pop by. It was more of a spontaneous visit and although the Guildhall is very small...More

Walking through Leicester we visited the Guildhall building nest to the Cathedral. Well preserved centuries old timber building. Well worth stopping by.

Really enjoyed our visit to the guildhall. It's got some terrific displays for young and old, with excellent interactive exhibits and a lovely trail sheet for younger children. The cells were quite atmospheric. It's also a popular wedding venue, so expect occasional closures. There's a...More

Quick visit not much to see or do for adults but very much geared for kids hands-on stuff. Lovely old buildings steeped in history. It's all free and guess your children would find it cool
