Lights this year were well worth the evening tram on the way out, then walked back to Blackpool and the hotel Lots of fun for all to see, you can stop at some of the late shops or the arcades

Every year the lights are magical. I just hoped that they would get even bigger and better each year. Love the old lights the best though.

Seen the illuminations while on a coach tour to Blackpool, wonderful to see lit up at night. Goes on for a long distance, very busy at the beginning but seems to quieten down late on

We hadn’t been to the illuminations for a few years so this was a little nostalgia trip for us as well as he kids who remember going when they were tiny. It was still as lovely as ever strolling down the prom in the cold...More

We go every year to see the lights. Not much changes. It could do with some more moderner lights to make things a little more interesting.

The light are a must to see.The beach has had some work done so it looks a lot better ,The only trouble with Blackpool is at night it is full of Hen/Stag parties . I would recommend southport anyday

Dont waste your time. Packed yet only half switched on in October kids never looked at them. Could not get on the lit up tram as to too busy.

As far as I know, the charge is for VIPs as the switch on is held in a specially erected arena. This is what you pay for. The lights stretch for 6 miles so it would be impossible to charge everyone. Just go and stand on the... More

Hi millyc 73, the lights are usually switched on at the end of Aug/beginning of Sept and generally stay on till the the first weekend of Nov. I think this year they are are on from the 31st Aug till 4th Nov. Hope this helps.
