Such a beautiful park so close to the centre of town. Lovely cafe & stunning views. Great for Dog walking, family days out, keeping fit or just sitting on one of the many benches & enjoying the sunshine

Love this place, free parking on both sides of the lake. Nice combination of formal gardens and ecological areas. Recently refurbished to make a great park

Such a great place, great sunny day, perfect for a stroll, better parking the other side of the park away from the lake, instead of coming into a busy carpark off the main A road, well worth a visit, boating lake and cafe

Yes, dogs are allowed. On a lead is best because of the children and the water birds, but I have seen people exercising them off the lead. Also seen owners risking drowning trying to retrieve their dogs from the lake.
