Not much left after the second world II, because Southampton was heavily damaged due to its strategic industrial factories located in the city. From time to time you can even get to the gate.

At the center of Southampton downtown, but it's pretty normal wall, historical but normal. A good starting point for visiting though.

The Bargate is part of history, you can walk through it, but it needs some improvements, need to be cleaned regularly as while passing through you can smell urine.

The Bargate is part of the defensive wall system protecting the city from the 1300's. Local historians offer inexpensive tours, and walks around the walls. The city is tearing down some buildings near the wall to expose more of the structures. All very interesting

This gate is from the 13th century wall, which also includes a guild hall, protecting Southampton. There are tours for only a few pounds of the entire wall complex.
