Little gem in the middle of East Street Southampton. My husband and I started our date night here with a few beers and 100 balls each within the hour. Nice to do something different - it’s a great little set up and the staff are friendly and helpful. Highly recommended for people that like a bit of action - it’s very therapeutic smashing a few balls 👍🏻

7 if us went, and had a blast. Place to ourselves the vasevall is fun. Had a great shuffle board and basketball games to pass the time while you waited for your turn. Drinks decent and fair price, and food was lovely too. Price is decent. Cannot complain about anything. 5 stars 🌟 great place.

Absolutely brilliant afternoon out. Loved the UV lighting. Great fun for the whole party aged 10-60. Huge selection of drinks/cocktails/shots (must go back for adult night out!) Choose your own music was a winner too and I was lucky enough to get a ball in the golden cup. What a day. Big thanks to Helena and Joe - superb hosts. Def recommend and will return.

1st Base exceeded expectations. It was great with the table football too and also the fun of throwing the balls back for the chance to win a drink. I don't think any of us were quite major league ready yet. We had a good time playing for an hour and will be back again.

For a unique, slightly off-the-beaten-track experience in Southampton, only a short walk from the High Street, "1st Base Batting Cage & Sports Bar" is our new favourite place! So much so, I've dragged everyone I know along to share an hour of hitting balls and enjoying a beer or two in the comfort of a small and friendly space! Much more private and 'real' than a shiny tourist trap with lots of vitual reality tech, here you're looked after by the lovely team on site and then get to enjoy the genuine frustation and delight of trying to hit balls the machine chucks at you while your favourite playlist blasts overhead! I'd only ever played rounders at school before, yet still managed to make my mark in what we lovingly referred to as the 'rage cage'!! Be prepared for a workout! :)

We held our U14 girls football team end of season party here. I cannot speak highly enough of the service we received from start to finish. Very helpful on enquiry, very accommodating with costs and prices and very friendly and welcoming on the day. Excellent facilities inside the bar with the table football, ping pong table, basketball and pay bar. We all had a great time, would highly recommend and definitely be going back.

Great fun. Took my son and his friend there for something different for his birthday, all of us really enjoyed it. Not just the baseball to keep you entertained, there is also table tennis, a basketball game, table football and a shuffleboard table. Staff really friendly and helpful too. We will definitely be going back.

Visited 1st Base on a work social, the venue is small but well laid out with plenty to do while you are waiting to get into the batting cage. The bar is reasonably priced and well stocked so no complaints there either! Well worth a visit.

Lots of fun, good atmosphere, good beer, good facilities and friendly staff. Went with a mate, had been planning on doing so for a while and we had a blast. Their next step once financially viable to would be to offer fresh hotdogs & chips- ideally taking inspiration from US ballparks. Food wasn’t great but was cheap enough so not a big worry.

We had our corporate sales night out here and had a great time! The main event is obviously the batting cage, but there’s also a ping pong table, shuffle board and basketball machine. Tip: make sure you try out the selection of bats until it feels right. Will book again with friends.
