Really interesting pre-reformation remains over a substantial area. Excellent interpretation boards. The route from the train station through the town is picturesque if steep on the way back. Best of all, it's FREE. Just make sure that you don't get run over. Lewes has more...More

We visited this place on a trip to Lewes. The kids liked running around and we enjoyed reading the information boards. It is a beautiful place and great that it’s in a public park and free to access and enjoy,

My boyfriend and I both love history therefore we decided to head to the Priory Ruins. It is a very well thought out exhibit within a lovely park. The best part about the ruins was the signage which explained which part of the ruins were...More

For such a small town, there is SO much history in Lewes. A visit to the priory ruins is definitely in order - they are quite run-down when compared to other places like Arundel (which is altogether not very run-down at all), but worth visiting.

Peaceful ruins with lots of information about the place. It's free and an easy walk. Accessible with steps and hand rails

The ruins of the priory are set away from the bustle and have superb interpretation boards with pictures of the ruins superimposed on reconstructions. If only all such sites were explained in the same way. A stunning place.

Yes they are. However, please keep them on a lead if there is a school class in progress there. Thanks.
