I have often visited this outstanding bookshop. Recently, to my amazed disappointment they have introduced a policy of charging £2 to view their collection of second hand books. I was not prepared to pay for this. I offered for them to see the contents of...More

Alfriston Book Shop Much Ado Book Shop. Very knowledgeable Couple who runs the Shop. Many rare and unusual books. Please support them as the internet is having an adverse effect on their sales.

To a complete bibliophile this bookshop is my idea of heaven. There are so few independent book shops left and this one is my favourites. The staff are lovely and will recommend books. My son who is 13 loves going as the books the staff...More

Brilliant individual shop for the book lover . Lots of interesting quirky features and friendly helpful staff. Loved the lucky dip idea of buying a pre wrapped book merely based on a description of its story or theme . Open air seating area and worth...More

A lovely visit for the whole family, with a surprise around every hidden corner. So authentically preserved. Loved it!

This place is wonderful. Not at all a tourist trap, but a quality bookshop for all ages. I loved the measure on the wall with all the author heights. Beautifully in keeping with the whole village image.
