Visited the airfield a few weeks ago to enjoy their 30th anniversary but sadly the weather was against them and the event was cancelled. However, four of us had reserved a table for lunch and we were not disappointed with the quality or quantity. The...More

The location is simply stunning, as the view is back over Spread Eagle and across to the southern slopes of Shaftesbury. You do not need to be a plane buff to go there, yet this does add a little nostalgia at times to where you...More

At one time, all were welcome to this wonderful airfield. The aircraft movements could be seen up-close from the car park and also from the restaurant area which opened 7 days of each week during the daylight hours. I remember during the long and warm...More

Went with elderly uncle for a meal and to watch the planes, great for plane watching but food left a lot to be desired. Mushroom risotto ok, ham, eggs and chips good but Caesar salad was just chunks of chicken with bacon on soaking wet...More

We booked tables for 10 people and 13 turned up. There was no problem moving tables around to accommodate us all. The food was delicious, the coffee was great. Thank you for making us feel welcome.

Lots to see if this is a flying day although there are usually a few aircraft about. The restaurant etc is excellent though - good quality food and plenty of it!!

Nice grass strip. Some historic aircraft based there and a great cafe. Note the menu as it is specific to three periods of the day. If you like light aircraft the takeoff/landing zone is right outside of the restaurant area offset about 100 yards.

Not my favourite place to go, although it’s convenient. Very ordinary, unimaginative, fairly flavourless food without much creativity, and not catering for non-meat eaters much at all.
