Coastal Comedy has venues in Ringwood, Bournemouth and Poole and won the BH Stars award for the best night out in the area. Each show has a line up of 3 professional comedians including a TV Headliner as seen on programmes such as: Mock the week (BBC2), 8 Out of 10 Cats (Channel 4) or Live at the Apollo (BBC1) for example. Plus the host and is a great night out for couples, work do's, groups of friends, or come on your own. Our Coastal Comedy shows offer you a great chance to see a famous face close up and personal in a superb intimate setting. We pride ourselves on bringing the very best stand up comics on the circuit together for a fantastic line up and acts that have graced our stage include: Lee Nelson, Lost Voice Guy, Gary Delaney, Jo Caulfield, Zoe Lyons, Angela Barnes, Jarred Christmas, Joel Dommett, Ed Gamble - just to name a few. Adrienne was a superb host, selecting a few guests to chat to and she was hilarious. She then introduced three very funny comedians who were all different, but great. Big shout out to the last guy who stood in for the sick headline act. He was brilliant and brought the house down (as they say). Really good value evening too. The organiser, host and comedienne, Adrienne, has a knack for spotting talented comics, and is warm and funny. Parking is easy and plentiful in the nearby Dolphin Centre, which is next to Poole High Street. There's a bar on-site. I've been to this monthly event before, and there's a different lineup of comics each time.Thank you so much for your lovely review. It really means a lot. 3 acts of which the first was very unfunny, in fact my cat is much more amusing. Katie Price was next and watching paint drying would have been more entertaining. Simply she’s in the wrong job. Slight recovery by the headline act, first laughs of the evening but for £18 each and 90 minutes of uncomfortable seating while the first acts droned on you could have much more fun with your money. Spend it on anything rather than this. We won’t be back again.

It’s a shame you didn’t enjoy the show, comedy as one of the arts is subjective. We don’t allow heckling and there certainly wasn’t any heckling at this show, which many enjoyed, so we are unsure if you have the right one.

Brilliant evening from start to end. The compere Adrienne was very funny and the booked comedians were hilariously funny too. Audience participation too. Excellent night out. Would recommend and will be back.

Coastal Comedy at the Canvas is well recommended. The venue is a lovely venue famous for various cocktails and it's Artisan decoy.. As a regular to Coastal comedy you can be guaranteed laughs, the host Adrienne is an excellent host, she is worth the entrance money herself, but there is another Two Comedians with a small break before you get the TV Headliner normally from Mock the week or live at the Apollo etc. These are normally top of the game and will have the whole room in laughter. You leave the night smiling and ready to book the next Coastal Comedy.

I cannot recommend this higher for a good night out. I’ve been to the last three in Bournemouth (2 alfresco at Bournemouth Electric club, and 1 this past weekend at Canvas). Every act has kept me laughing, but Andy Asking had me ugly crying laughing more then once. Hilarious.
Adrienne makes a great host. A naturally funny and lovely woman… but she brutal! So heckle at your own risk 😂.
This is my first time going to Canvas. I was pleasantly surprised by how genuinely friendly the staff were, and it’s the perfect atmosphere and size for this type of gig.
We already have out tickets for the next one!

Adrienne is the perfect MC at this great comedy night. No one is spared! My advice is to sit in front rows if you’re up for a laugh ( at yourself and your friends!) and want to get really involved . Seats at the back for the more reserved! Adrienne has a fantastic way of engaging the audience and links and promotes the acts. Perfect to see new up and coming comedians as well as more established ones. Venue is perfect - great atmosphere at Canvas. Our group absolutely loved the headliner - Troye Hawke - just wanted him to carry on all night! Giggled whole way home.

We were invited to a Coastal Comedy evening at short notice and went along not knowing what to expect. I'm very glad we accepted the invitation because it was the best night out for ages. We laughed from start to finish. Adrienne is a fantastic host, she was very engaging with the audience and is so quick witted, she was as hilarious as the 3 comedians on the bill. They were all hysterically funny, especially Andy Askins. Canvas was a great venue, you are close up to the acts so it feels quite intimate. First time there, definitely not the last. In fact just booked a works night out for the next gig. Highly recommend!!

My friends and I have been 3 times and can't wait for the next show. All the acts are a little different but all hilarious, some to point of literally crying with laughter.

Not my first coastal comedy experience but my first at Canvas, what a great venue (comedy store vibes) for another great show! I've never been disappointed with any of the acts at a coastal comedy gig and last night was no exception, top quality headliner was brilliant, and Adrienne had me in stitches all the way through as usual. Went with a group of work mates, it was the perfect way to start a night 'out out'. Went for the comedy, stayed for a dance.
You can't beat coastal comedy for a value for money night out. 10 out of 10!

Adrianne is a hilarious compere and does a great job warming up the audience, sometimes she is funnier than the acts! We've been to three nights this season and each night we had a great time. Great little venue inside the Lighthouse, recommend!

3 comedians of varying humour and Adrienne the compere spectacular! Went to Canvas last night, small and intimate show unlike the larger venues they use sometimes so a different atmosphere. Great for a night out where you can sit, laugh and have a drink. Can't wait for next month's hilarity!
