About
A micropub and (soon to be) bottlestore, with 5 cask and 10 keg lines, with one of the kegs dedicated to a local cider. We also have beer in cans and bottles . We also stock proper English cider, English wines and spirits. We believe in having local drinks which is why we stick to English producers. There is a pizzeria next door to us and a restaurant across the road called N & C. You are more than welcome to bring food in with you as long as you take your rubbish with you. We are dog friendly and we sometimes bring our Labrador Jax in with us. Unfortunately our licence states that we cannot have any under 18's, but we are hoping to get this overturned.

Chanced upon this bar when examining what was on offer locally from our Premier Inn Hotel. As a lager drinker I was a little apprehensive about going into a real ale/ craft beer place but we needn't have worried as the staff don't come across as real ale snobs or CAMRA bores. Although they only do one lager on draught their Electric Bear may not be cheap at ÂŁ4.80 a pint but it was an absolute winner.
Due to the Covid 19 situation drinks are brought to you by the friendly staff of Pete the landlord and Melvyn and Carol. I'm not a big drinker but my wife and I popped in all three nights of our stay for a pint or two. Wish we had a place like this within walking distance of our house as this is what all bars would be like in my ideal world and we will be back next time we are down to visit my mum.
Dog friendly and clean toilets too. What's not to like?

Awesome selection of beers. Usually 5 cask, and 10 kegged beers at very reasonable prices - especially for the area.
Staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. The only food they have are bar snacks, but you can order take-away and eat in.

What a find!
Saw this place online whilst planning for a mini-break to Bournemouth, and luckily noticed it was within 10 minutes walk of our hotel.
A small, micro-pub, it wasn't particularly busy the night we were there although the barman said that it was unusually quiet with half a dozen people in the place.
They have a great selection of beers on cask/keg as well as a decent selection of spirits and a bottle/can fridge.
Service was friendly and knowledgeable, the beers (well you have to try a few!) were great, and we were also able to order and eat a pizza from the fabulous pizza place next door (Da Mario).
If you like beer (and I do) it's highly recommended. Would definitely visit again.

Best beer in Bournemouth! Our visited was eagerly awaited. We had researched craft beer bars before our short break in the town and had seen the IPA festival a few days ago was taking place at the bar and were delighted to find that there were still a few amazing ipas on offer.Phil who served us was the the most knowledge person on ales we had ever met and really friendly. He must have been very wary of us loitering about outside the bar a full half hour before opening! Our wait was worth it! The bar is a little quirky in that every table ha a game on it. On ours was Kerplunk which I was disappointed I didn’t get to play but we were so busy talking about beer, Maybe next time. Great bar , go find it!!!

Recently moving in to the area back in early December, I was very happy to see this cosy micro-pub/ bottle shop just down the road. I love ale so I had to give it ago. I was not disappointed at all. So many delicious ales. After that me and my partner kept going back. Its so cosy and welcoming, the staff are lovely.
Also the lady who gave you the low rating over wine, learn some manners and next time go to a wine bar. Its a micro-pub that has amazing ale... try one.. it might just cheer you up.
Thank you for your amazing hospitality! Cant wait to be welcomed back.. loved the star wars ale by the way!

Can’t believe it took us so long to find this amazing and friendly bar which has a wonderful selection of craft beers which are reasonably priced. The bar is dog friendly. The owners are lovely people and you’re made to feel very welcome. Our new local. NB it’s over 18’s only.

Had a recent weekend away to Bournemouth from the midlands and found this bar as was nearby our hotel.
My husband had a pint of Siren and a nitro stout. He said he really enjoyed the drinks. I myself have not been a big alcohol drinker for several years, however still like trying and going to different bars. It was good to see a decent choice of low / non alcohol products on offer rather than boring 0% lagers such as “Heineken 0% or becks blue”. I opted for the low tide 0.5% stout and really enjoyed it as had never tried this before.
The snacks (crisps and nuts) on offer were really good brands too.
Overall we enjoyed the visit and wished we lived nearer so could visit more often.

Wicked micro pub with changing selection of craft beers and cider. Absolutely recommend this place to anyone who enjoys decent quality drinks in a welcoming atmosphere. A tavern worth revisiting over again.

I have been here twice and had lovely evenings on both occasions. They offer an excellent selection of beers and there’s a great atmosphere. It’s a welcome change from the bigger rowdy pubs around town.
