We came across this small but very interesting museum whilst walking round this delightful town. We were welcomed by a very helpful lady who was incredibly informative about the exhibits. Currently part of the museum is closed off , but what we were able to...More

It was disappointing to see reviews for this gem of a museum with people complaining about being shifted towards the door curtly shortly before closing. The Museum is run by a dedicated, knowledgeable and creative team of volunteers, who give their time free of charge...More

A lovely costume collection, from early to almost present day. Many very covetable! A small enough collection to be able to look closely at the styles, fabrics and accessories, but large enough to give plenty of interest and perhaps even inspiration. A very enjoyable afternoon!...More

Found completely by accident, this vest-pocket museum is a gem. Gorgeous clothing, wonderfully preserved, with very thorough and informative write-ups in a booklet. The building itself is interesting, with a neat wooden spiral staircase to the second floor exhibition.

We visited this museum on a day out in Totnes. We saw it on the tourist info web site. If the attraction is publicised at other locations in the town we didn't see any adverts. Found it eventually, perhaps more publicity/signage? The staff on the...More

Found this little house that had been turned into a fashion and textiles exhibition. They currently have period costumes from the Assembly Rooms right across through time up to the modern era. For £2, there's only three rooms but the outfits are pretty to look...More
