I’ve made several enjoyable visit to the museum as it has some very interesting galleries including local history, ancient Egypt and Agatha Christie. Most recently I attended their Agatha Christie Mystery Day. It was excellently organised. There was a programme of talks, film shows and...More
A pleasant place to wander round with some interesting exhibits, particularly in respect of wildlife and habitats. There is also a very enjoyable section on the inside of a Devon farmhouse (reconstructed) and another with much Agatha Christie TV memorabilia. Far more enjoyable to visit...More
A pleasant museum that’s a bit like a tardis. Much more to see inside than I expected as I walked up to it. There’s a real effort made in presenting the information in several ways to appeal to adults and children alike which I applaud...More
So, so disappointed with the Agatha Christie Day. At a cost of £30 each we expected a better day - it wasn't as it was described.

Hi, thanks for your message. A discount voucher for 15% off can be obtained from the Tourist Office in the English Riviera Passport booklet. We also offer a discounted rate for senior citizens, low income people, NHS workers, Torbay council workers and the Emergency services. Unfortunately Torquay Museum is a charity and has to charge (we receive no funding from central government) to keep the doors open. If you have difficulty in obtaining the discount voucher let me know and I arrange this for you. This will still entitle you to entry for a year as we have a program of changing exhibitions all year round. We hope to see you soon with your grandson.
