back in the 70's, this was a hangout for hippies. Always a great atmosphere and had great memories. Of course this has changed hugely but it was always a back street pub with a special atmosphere all of its own

Corner pub in compact inner suburb. Reasonable selection of well kept beers. Affable locals. Not sure if they do food.

Operates a bit like a locals pub but draws a much wider crowd and most nights it's busy enough to feel good. Bass and other ales.

Like others I do not understand why this good old pub has been removed from the Nightlife section where it ought to be with all the other popular local taverns. The Clifton is friendly warm busy and sells good beer.

This is a very good much loved traditional Greenbank pub which was one of the first entries in the original 'Nightlife' section. Why it has been moved to 'Attractions' beat us regulars. Tripadvisor, please put it back with the othe pubs and clubs.

Can't understand why a re jigging of categories should throw the Clifton, a lovely trad pub, into the 'attractions' section when it is plainly 'nightlife. Please move it back.

I used be a regular at this pub 10+ years ago when there was a good, fun crowd and excellent beer. For whatever reason, the pub became less welcoming & the beer indifferent. About 6 months ago I was drinking with some friends who told...More
