I can't understand the logic behind some of the Tripadvisor sub categories. The Methodist Central a Hall is a busy popular city church and yet it does not make it to the list of 'churches' likely to be consulted by present or prospective visitors to...More

WORSHIP at the Hall is totally uplifting. The Advent calendar, opening daily outside the church is a wonderful outreach project and we'll worth supporting

Apologies for the very late review, but when in RAF I used to attend Sunday evenings and found the Worship very uplifting, and Sermons were always good. I now live in the Far East, and Methodist Churches here are in various languages and have HUGE...More

Friendly and inviting. Comfy seats, bright & cheerful with amazing worship. The sermons are the best I've every listened to.

Livelyish and well attended. A very stylish prewar interior has been much hacked about but apparently for good reason. The exterior too has seen a number of bold additions suggesting that this congregation is thriving and aware of the world around it. Visitors are always...More

Built in the 30s in the style of a simple cinema with comfy tip up seats and a huge balcony, this medium sized Methodist 'Central Hall' was enthusiastically given over to civic and concert use during WWII when every other large city centre meeting place...More

Yes - ramps are available ensuring access to nearly all parts of the building that are open to the public. Disabled toilets are also easy to access in the entrance area.
