Almost swamped by modern unremarkable shops, The Guildhall is a lovely historic 'must see'. Very interesting and full of heraldry decor. Beautiful.

The Guildhall somehow escaped the bombing of WW2 although many buildings on either side of it were destroyed. Most of the building now is medieval and date from about 1593. Don't miss the pillared entrance and the beautiful old oak door. It is currently used...More

A magnificent old building, the front entrance door alone is from the 1500's. Its a free entry location so it makes no sense not to call in for a few minutes and view what was once the centre of commercial and legal power in the City.
