Very nice place but nothing special. There was no signs to the place after we crossed the river so we had to look around the streets and corners to find it.

Great views out to the mouth of the river Dart. The fort played an important last line of defence of the town.

We stumbled on this while walking around. Lovely views and it is well preserved but there were used needles lying around. My baby is in a pushchair but for other kids or people in soft shoes it could have been a problem.

tucked away but is a must see if you like history, is quite well preserved, maintained to a good standard, not a rainy day activity though

Take this in as part of a walk around Dartmouth. It's another part of the rich history of the town. It is set in amongst lovely historical buildings and right next to the lower ferry. Lovely cobbles so a bit dodgy for wheelchair users but...More

The fortress has protected Dartmouth for centuries, now it is used as a performance area in the summer

This is an historical building not a place to eat, but is worth a visit and a great place to take photos.

The fort itself is not much to see, but is is right next to the oldest part of dartmouth and a row of orignal houses like the customs house. A walk along to the forst past these houses is a must see in Dartmouth

We were visiting Dartmouth Castle so went to see this ruin on the same day. Not much to see, but interesting bit of history. Shame to miss it if you are in Dartmouth anyway but wouldn't make a special visit.
