I had the seafood thai curry, it was delicious and beautifully served. The views are amazing and the whole feel of the place is very relaxed but wonderful.

Porthgwidden Beach is a lovely, sheltered beach next door to the much larger Porthmeor. However, it is an equally beautiful beach with soft golden sand and turquoise sea. Magical!

One of four beaches in St Ives, this is the smallest but just lovely. We sat in the very friendly beach cafe watching the locals walk their dogs on the windy beach, it was such a party and lovely to see from our snug vantage...More

Porthgwidd is the safest area to swimming for the whole family. The sands are light coloured and the natural shelter makes for good sunbathing.

This is a delightful beach which is often sheltered from any wind. An absolute favourite of mine, there are lots and a really good cafe.....what’s not to like?!

This is probably the smallest and quietest of the four beaches in St. Ives and one of my favourites.

A bit more sheltered than the others. Ideal for young children. Nice little cafe and loos nearby. Nice and clean and well Looked after.

This was a really small cozy beach. Due to it being small, it also meant it filled up pretty quick and there was lots of family with huge wind breaks taking up large areas leaving no where else to sit on the beach. A shame...More

In the last week of September it was warm enough to hit the beach one last time! We grabbed our folding chairs from the rental cottage and headed to Porthgwidden beach! Sitting against the rocks we read, chatted and popped down for a swim! It’s...More

On our visit there was a "no dogs allowed" sign at the entrance to the beach.there is however a dog friendly beach a five minute walk away.
