We visited the open air theatre recently on a trip to Chester. We enjoyed a fantastic performance of Much Ado About Nothing. It was funny and well acted.
Amazing experience. I can't recommend it enough.
We have been going to these open air shows in Chester's Grosvenor Park since they started. Always very enjoyable - relaxed with picnic atmosphere - and interesting interpretations of Shakespeare and other plays. This year - we've seen a very different take on The Tempest...More

The main entrance to the park is on Vicar's Lane. It's a pedestrian entrance only but the NCP Pepper Street is very close by.
There are a number of hotels in Chester City Centre that are all close enough to walk to the park.
