The Peak Pilgrimage is a long distance footpath walk from Ilam to Eyam designed to be enjoyed by all. Nowhere is the walking more lovely, relaxing, accessible and soul-restorative than in the Peak District National Park. But it has an added twist - this is also a pilgrimage walk designed as a spiritual experience. This is neither dreary nor frightening because pilgrimages are meant to be fun!

We have just completed the Pilgrimage in 2 days with an overnight stay at the YHA at Youlgreave. Perhaps it was the weather, or the excellent company of our group, or the wonderful scenery - or all of this, but this was an experience not...More

I managed the whole Peak Pilgrimage, led by the Venerable Bob Jackson himself over the last 4 days. I was slightly nervous as I don't do enough exercise, but despite having some quite tough climbs (for a novice) and descents, this was almost not noticeable...More

The bus from Ashbourne to Ilam is fine but if you fancy an extra 5 mile stroll then please see the instructions on the website for 'Walking to the Start!'.

We are not sure about overnight parking in Ilam but there is day parking. For the Peak Pilgrimage we would suggest parking in the free car park at Eyam where we have Parish Council approval.
