This building is so atmospheric. The stories those ancient wooden beams could tell. A sweet little market was in progress the second time we visited. Fresh fruit and vegetables, an artisan salami maker with the widest range of flavours Ive ever seen. Adjacent cafes use...More

Very nice town, atmospheric, unfortunately we were late for the tour of the castle but it is impressive from the outside. The old hall is huge and has fabulous markets on Fridays I believe, mostly fresh local produce

We visited Clisson recently on an excursion from a cruise on the River Loire. This mediaeval structure is very impressive and well worth a look. I wish that our visit had been on market day to experience it with all its hustle and bustle.

We stayed in Clisson for a few days during the Hellfest music festival and we visited Les Halle's on a couple of occasions. It's a great place to sit and soak up the atmosphere of the medieval village that is Clisson. Les Halle's has different...More

We saw Les Halles one evening when the locals were sitting having their aperitifs. We joined them as it is a lovely building with interesting architectural features. The bar opposite will serve you drinks.

We wanted to visit here on market day. However the French rail network had one of it's strike/stoppages/go slows taking place and travel was restricted. We eventually got there in the end. What a nice place but overall very quiet. We felt like the only...More
