We stopped by to see the view through one of the golden frames, and to see the educational area. Very informative in regards to the regions flora and the kauri tree issue. There is a small gift shop, not cheap, but if you like it...More

Arataki Visitor Centre is a very relaxing place and the visitor centre itself provides a spectacular view of the mountains and sea as you follow the wooden path on the left side of the entrance to the centre. There were a few easy trails nearby...More

The view is basically the mountains and facing bay west of Auckland City. You can see the airport and a little bit of Mangere. This place is educational and looks like a living museum. There are labeled trees and a deck with a supreme view....More

Great views over the south of the Waitakere's. There is a walk that heads down the hill. The inside has informative displays and a kids area. The most important is the toilets especially if you are walking in the local area.
