This is a great gallery, with interesting architecture. The Brian Brake and Steve McCurry photographs exhibition would be one of the best I have ever seen- moving! Staff were helpful and it's free. Make sure you go next door to Lopdell House and take the lift to the roof terrace for a great view of the Manukau Harbour. Recommend.

This Gallery is always a pleasure to visit with its architectural surprises at every turn and unexpected intriguing spaces at every level. We love the projections with views through glass out into the Titirangi landscape. The exhibitions show a wide variety of exhibitions from Brian Brake and Steve McCurry's photographic images to Jacqueline Fahey's French Bay paintings. Well worth a... More

Almost next door to Deco Eatery where we had a wonderful breakfast then went to the the Asian photo exhibition by Brian Brake & Steve McCurry. Outstanding photos, some of which I recognised from the cover of National Geographic like Afghan Girl. Well worth a visit. The interior architecture is wonderful too with great natural lighting, even the stairs are... More

The Portage Ceramic Awards Exhibition, just over, was the best ever, with amazing works from artists from all over New Zealand. Still on is the exhibition "A Desk of One's Own : The Creative Life of Anne McCahon", which is fascinating. She is less well-known than her husband, Colin McCahon, but this exhibition should help to rectify that. Her paintings... More

Over many years I have attended Lopdell House for wining, dining and art opportunities. Recently, using the services of a local business saw me head for the heights of the House and have an oops by dropping my car key down the lift shaft - a trick for young players without big bunches of keys to their name! Lopdell House... More

Friendly staff, great food and wine to match the food. Worth making the short trip out from the city centre for a great night out. Will be back again to have another feed. Thanks.

Te Uru is a worthwhile visit, especially in combination with the lovely Upstairs Gallery and cafe in the character building (Lopdell House) next door. It is located in a charming hilltop village only 20 minutes from the the centre of Auckland City. The artwork is varied with several gallery rooms to explore. On our most visit the amazing photography exhibition.on... More

The architecture would not look out of place in amatory city , all the more exciting to find it in the quirky village of Titirangi. The clever dynamics of stairs , beautifully designed galleries with surprising vistas and glimpses of glorious views make this a must see.......the exhibitions are good as well!

Lopdell House Gallery is an outstanding gallery to visit. You are greeted by the friendly staff when you arrive and given all the info you need. This is an amazing place to visit right in the middle of Titirangi in west Auckland. Their exhibitions are always changing and I love visiting to see what is new. A must see!
