Nice pool, nice falls, water not too cold, good for a swim. There must have been accidents in the past, so many warnings to not swim, so, we did swim and so do many others. Great little dip, sharp rocks but very doable.
It is only a 5-10min walk if that to the waterfall over the bridge and is a place where a lot of people swim. There are longer tracks going off with the best being the loop to the dam which takes about 3 hours.

There are few falls that are easy to access and yet super beautiful! Hunua is one of them.
Come during the summer, and avoid coming during the winter and storm, as the flow of the water wasn't as beautiful.
