I had an amazing time on my Kiwi Wonder Tours adventure!
The pick-up and drop-off were seamless and helpful, given that I didn't rent a car.
Patrick, our tour guide, was awesome - informative and funny, making our car ride all the more enjoyable.
My highlight was Hobbiton, as a fan of the trilogy it was an immersive experience and I liked that I didn't have to worry about booking a ticket as it was included in the tour making it a smooth sailing experience.
A lot of tours don't often have lunch included - so it was great not to have to worry about that either. The chicken sandwich was fresh and yum :)
Definitely would recommend Kiwi Wonder Tours!

I loved this tour, this is the perfect way to spend your day off or your free time if you are on a holiday in my opinion. Special thanks to our tour guide and driver, Mark, who is super friendly and made the long drive a lot more interesting. The ruakuri walking cave tour was amazing, we got to take many pictures and had time to just stand in the pitch black and admire all the glowworms surrounding us. Lunch was yummy and it was a lot, also it had our names on the packaging(I love little details like that 🤩). And Hobbiton was wonderful just as expected. There are so many little hobbit houses and there are two that you can actually go into and they are so cute.

Mark was both an amazing driver and tour guide, i’ve lived in Auckland my whole life but never knew the facts and info that Mark shared about. And he catered to the small group of us so quickly and our style of tour. I went solo and it was never awkward or uncomfortable so i would recommend to anyone to do the tour even if ur by yourself. Huge Bonus the food for lunch was incredible and pack a jacket for the cave it gets cold even on a hot day.

I think I may have been one of the first "groups" to do this tour with Kiwi Wonder Tours, as I believe their company launched in August/September 2024. Even though I was the ONLY person who booked the tour for that specific day, they still ran it! Not only that, but I had TWO guides. It was just the 3 of us, which may seem awkward, but it was actually quite wonderful as I got the van to myself, and we timed things according to my needs. The guides were friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive, and you could tell they wanted the experience to be a memorable one. At first, I was nervous to book with this company, as there were no reviews when I booked the tour. I was also tempted to book the tour via GetYourGuide, as I'm familiar and comfortable with their "free cancellation" procedure. However, I reached out to Kiwi Wonder Tours via email, and they were quick to reply. They also reassured me that I could cancel up to 24 hours in advance. So I took a gamble and booked with this new company, DIRECT on their website, and with no reviews. So glad I did! It was such a great experience. I would also note that not many tours do the 1.5-hour Ruakuri cave tour + Hobbiton. Most of the ones I looked at did the shorter cave tour + Hobbiton. I would recommend doing Ruakuri. If there was a way to do both caves things, that would be even better.

The Hobitton and Waitomo Cave Tour by Kiwi Wonder Tour was very enjoyable. Special thanks to Stuart. He is very friendly, and while long-way driving, I was taught heaps of knowledge about Auckland and another city from him. We were provided lunch as well, which was very yummy. Personally, I'm recommending you beef sandwiches.

Hobbiton Tour exceeded expectations, beautiful sets and plenty of time to look around. Cave walk was just the right mixture of information and walking. Drive is quite long, however vehicle is very comfortable and easy to rest in. Packed lunch was super yummy and is enough for big appetites. Thanks heaps.

The tour guide, who was a stuart, made me feel comfortable during the tour. 90 minutes at Waitomo Cave were awesome. I guess that if you want to enjoy a long Waitomo cave tour, I'd definitely recommend the Kiwi Wonder Tour.

I had a great time on this tour! Mark - the guide was informative and funny, making the experience both fun and educational. The food provided was excellent. The tour is definitely worth it, especially since we had a small group, which made it feel even more special.

Firstly I would like to thank both of the staff . They are so polite, kind and approachable . They will help you and assist you all the time. Secondly, my trip to Waitomo cave and Hobbiton was a great experience indeed! Unforgettable and memorable. I enjoyed the sceneries the natural beauty of New Zealand. I will surely travel again and visit other tourists destinations. Kuddos! ❤️❤️❤️

Janine & Stewart took such good care of our shuttle, and ensured a safe return for us all. I appreciate the extra effort and attention on the use of Te Reo and touching on some of the history of the places we ventured. Keep up the awesome mahi!
