This tour was perfect for our needs. It is well thought out and organized with stops at all the cool places! Even rest stops were well planned. Flex Time allowed us to do our own thing as well. Lodgings and meals were excellent too. The best part of the tour was our guide, Sarah, who not only drove the bus on steep and winding roads but made it pleasant too! I would do it again!

This whole trip was simply outstanding and I’m struggling to find any negatives. No…….not one ! Exeriencing majestic mountains, lakes forests, caves and coasts on the South Island gave a complete view of this truly special place. I’m itching to return and cover the North Island now. The lovely Gail proved to be such a knowledgeable, unflappable and infectiously energetic guide. She made this trip fizz and sparkle each and every single one of the 9 days. ka nui te mihi. ⭐️

Cultural and natural history with hikes, boats, rivers, waterfalls, swimming, museums, and peace and beauty all around you. Guide is bus driver tells you about history of area and Maori legends, and farming. The air is clean, the waters clear, and food delish. I highly recommend Moa Trek. I took the 21 day Kakapo tour in Nov 2023.

Thanks to our guide Sarah Inglewood we spent wonderful days in New Zealand : she is such a perfect guide ! She was able to cope with all the difficult situations, drive us safely and was always smiling ! I had a marvelous holiday in NZ thanks to her !

I have always been wary of guided tours, but if you are planning a trip to New Zealand, MoaTrek is wonderful. We had a great group of people, but our guide Jan was the best. About 3 days in I slipped and hurt my foot. She sat with me in a clinic in Wellington for 6 hours! Luckily I was able to get around in a boot and Jan was great advising me on if I should do a particular outing or not. Every location was better than the one before. The accommodations were very nice and I was luck enough to have great views.

From start to finish it was an excellent tour. The itinerary covered the north and South Island with wonderful scenery and inclusions.
The optional extras gave everyone on tour the chance to choose specific extras to make their holiday special.
The small group of 18 meant there was flexibility for our tour guide Andrew to take us to "special" locations that would not have been possible on a larger bus.
This tour gave numerous opportunities to walk and get out into the natural environment of NZ.
Andrew our tour guide was excellent. He had an extensive knowledge of the NZ environment and kept us very entertained by his stories.

I had planned this holiday for a number of years having looked at different group tours in NZ . Tanya from Moa Trek managed to fit me in with joining at Auckland. I felt a warm welcome from the guide Andrew and the fellow travellers. The guide Andrew was knowlewdgeable about the areas we were to cover his detailed itinerary included many great experiences, we always felt confident as he advised us what to do and what not to do! Even on his day off nothing was too much trouble to help us with our enquiries.
At Mount Cook I had no room reserved for me, having tried to sort out the problem at reception he then sorted out the problem. The next morning I suggested we contact the other hotels to make sure it didn't happen again, he had already done that.
Even at Lake Wanaka a trip to the Hill Station had been cancelled (20 mins notice) he took the time to walk us the lake edge towards the beautiful park with the giant Sequiora trees.
Moa Trek definitely delivered the holiday of a lifetime.

Akaunui Homestead is not on the itinerary of the Kaka 17 day tour, is that correct? I wish it was.
