Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

There are quite a few food outlets here including Ampersand, Brothers Beer and Saku Saku. There are a few spots in the front area but it is usually full.
We stopped by for lunch at Ampersand and took a look around since we were here. There are a few shops around as well as a Farro supermarket. It's not very big but does have quite a few options for either eating or shopping.

We stopped in.....had brunch at the Ampersand cafe' (recommend skipping it--I've written a review explaining). We enjoyed checking out the Farro Market. If I lived in NZ....that is where I would shop! Everything looked so fresh and amazing. We purchased some amazing cheese and macarons. The flowers were absolutely gorgeous!

What a spot right by the water at Orakei. Great selection of boutique shops with plenty of free parking. Dog friendly too which is great to see. Would recommend to anyone in the area wanting to escape the Auckland hustle and bustle

Junoon Indian Cuisine.
Been there before, nice food.
This time we booked, and got a confirmation message. Turned up on time and they had no tables (or chairs). Really disappointed and peeved. Found Ampersand nearby, had a good evening after all but won't go to Junoon ever again.

Went with my sister-in-law and wife on the 050722 at about 7pm. Probably the best Indian restaurant I've been to. Best prices, easy parking, excellent food, peaceful atmosphere, very good service and this marvelous smell -at least for my western nose.☺️

Great views and shopping 10 min train from Auckland cbd. Restaurants look over the water back towards the city.

Visited briefly in the rain. Parked in Farro Deli’s 30 min spot. Due to rain and haste I didn’t see additional signage re requirement to notify car park of car rego. in order to qualify for free parking. Now recipient of $45 fine. Orakei Bay Village hard to contact (2 calls, 3 emails) and in reply to my request to waive the fine they told me to suck it up. Due to OBV’s attitude I will never return to visit any of the retailers at this site.
