Fantastic Views of Paradise

Such fun with children exploring the caves with torches!! Stunning views to other Islands & back to the beautiful Auckland city that look as though it floats on the water.

It's a bit of a climb up to the peak of Mount Victoria, but the two of us who made it found the views amazing and worth the effort.

We were a bit apprehensive about being able to get to the top due to health issues BUT it was well worth the walk. The views of Auckland, Skytower and the harbour are brilliant walk around the perimeter to really get a 360 degree scenic gem. The walk up took a leisurely 20 minutes and the walk down about the... I came up here to check out the sunset and it was magnificent. Although it was drizzling when I was there, it didn't affect the views much (although it was a bit cold). Really enjoy it.

We were there for the sunset and the view is just Great and spectacular. Looking over the whole Auckland city. There's no public retreat on top of the mount Victoria.

In my opinion the views are better than the slightly higher hill within Cornwall Park nearer the city centre. Mount Victoria is situated just above the town of Devonport and the entrance drive is quite difficult to find. The road winds up the hill and narrow in places, especially near the top. People do walk up but it's far easier... More

We took the ferry to Devonport. It is a steep walk to the top. You can walk the pave road to the top or as we did one of the many pathways to the top. The view is breathtaking of the area. It is worth the visit. Get your walking shoes on!

An absolute Icon of the North Shore. All encompassing 360 degree views with a gun emplacement and disappearing gun therein. Take a trip up there soon before it gets given back to Maori and closed to vehicles. Walkable road but steep and narrow. Just drive up quietly. Have been waiting for a clear day and today was it. Took dozens... More

Complete your visit to Devonport by climbing the hill of Mount Victoria which will give a 360 degree view of the city.

Fab day trip to Davenport from Auckland. Walked up Mount Victoria, which was a little demanding, but short and sweet. The views from the top were worth it. It was a clear day and you could see for miles. Very peaceful, we sat for hours with a picnic just watching the world go by
