If you are with older folks or younger folks, this museum is interesting. There is a lot of authentic military knick-knackery to make it a valuable collection of the first and second world wars, as well as other skirmishes of the past century. It is...More

What a treasure trove of wonderful exhibits ranging from domestic, health, religious to agricultural activities in early years of Bowraville and district - and Australia for that matter. Exhibits are over a large area but essentially undercover. Would be a great introduction for older primary...More

A fantastic way to spend an hour or two. This museum offers a comprehensive look at our pioneer history with a local focus. Only a donation to get in and has a display superior to those on offer at much larger towns. A must for...More

If you get a chance to take a detour when you are in this vicinity.... don't miss out on this magnificent effort. And make sure you allow a couple of hours to look around. Well worth the effort!

When in Bowraville, this is a must see!! It is packed full of interesting local history and the displays are wonderful. Outside is a fantastic assortment of old farm equipment, both mechanical and manually operated. Allow at least 2-3 hours to explore thoroughly. ****

For the very reasonable price of $5 ($2 for kids) you can spend hours in this place. You will be amazed at what you will see. The volunteers do a great job in maintaining the displays and venue.

I lived in Bowraville for a couple of years and visited the Folk Museum a couple of times. It was really interesting to see material illustrating the history of this village tucked away in the hinterland of the mid-north coast of New South Wales. I...More
