Moderate easy walk for family’s who wish to enjoy a walk with a bit of Northland history to a lovely beach where you can snorkel and relax. The return climb over the hill past grazing friendly cattle.

Stunning, isolated, sandy beach with crystal clear waters. You can snorkel near the rocks and sea a bunch of fish as well.

If you're down Whangarei Heads peninsula drive to the very end and spend a couple of hours walking the Smugglers Cove loop. it goes up and down, so a minimum fitness is required, but it will let you enjoy different nice views of the Ocean,...More

Even at peak season, it is possible to have a good chunk of this white-sand beach to yourself. Peaceful and picturesque, there are also a number of good shade trees close to the shore. It's an easy 15 minute walk from the carpark to the...More

This was just what we were after on a sunny day (with a 10month old). 15mins either way from the car park around to Smuggler's Cove which has beautiful white sand, blue water and shade to sit in. You can also loop the headland up...More
