Got tickets easily enough when we arrived in Capri (very little queueing). But lots of people then queuing to get onto funicular. We decided not to queue and got a taxi into Capri centre. (20 euros in an open top car on a beautiful sunny...More

This is the best way to get to Piazza Umberto from the harbour(and by far the cheapest)and is quite reasonable at €2 but can have very long queues and the noise especially in the covered in area of the upper entrance can be horrendous particularly...More

April 2018 it seems that the funicular is not working but we were transported by an overcrowded bus struggling to get up the hill. It did the job but I was nevertheless disappointed not to axperience the funicular

The good news is that this is a direct and cheap way to get up or down the hill. The not so good news is that there is a line to get tickets and also to get on the the tram. We ended up catching...More

This is a quick and easy way to travel from the coast up to Anacapri. It costs 2 euros and the journey takes only a couple of minutes. We didn't have to wait long for the ride, but I expect that it may get very...More

Got there to find it closed with hordes of people waiting for a very small limited bus service...We jumped in a taxi and fled to Anacapri...Perfection... be prepared to pay around €30, but honestly worth it!

The only disappointment on a magical day. Having found the base depot and the ticket office we were told, bluntly, that it was not working. The substitute as in uk for anything like this situation,is a crowded bus with irregular service and wholly inadequate.

It's a very quick and easy way to go to the top...for 2€ per person. Especially when it's very hot outside. And when you come at the top the view is just amazing.

First time for us on an Italian funiculare!!! I just love the name because it starts with Fun! It is a great way to summit the Cliff so that you can enjoy the shops and eateries at the top.
