Quaint night market with lots of souvenir and food stores
Quaint night market with lots of souvenir and food stores. We visited this market to watch the Dragon show at 9 pm. Had seafood and Vietnamese noodles (pho and cao lau) while waiting. Good crowd, largely tourists. Worth a one time visit just to soak in the local flea market atmosphere.

    Crazy busy
We loved it as it was so different than anything back home. There is so much food, drinks and merchandise. I tried a lot of food and had some cold beers. I wanted to try the seafood as it was so cheap but I couldn't do it because all of the seafood on the trays being displayed are dead and I did not want to take a chance. It's very busy but we felt safe and did not have any issues. We got what we thought were some good deals and were happy.

Diverse, Crazy and Yummy Night Market
What an awesome night market! Such great and diverse selection of seafood, Vietnamese dishes, drinks and goods. Specifically for a seafood lover you must visit! We got clams, oysters, snails etc for very cheap price. The drink selection was awesome! Only fault is the vendors are very pushy and you will get yelled at to come to the stores, not a deal breaker though if you just ignore them. Would definitely recommend coming to check it out!

    Love this Night Market
The seafood platter was the best we had on the 2-week trip. We picked a tray the looked good, then started negotiating. There were so many stalls selling seafood that we were able to shop around. We settled on an 800K ($35) tray with 3 lobsters, 7 giant prawns, oysters, and clams. We negotiated trading a small lobster for a bigger one, extra prawns, extra clams, and an octopus. We opted to have them all grilled with as much butter/ garlic as possible. There are plenty of stalls selling trinkets, cloths and snack. All the prices here were good, no one tried to start with ridiculous tourist prices. There is an area at the end with tables and chairs set up to watch the Dragon Bridge show. We bought drinks and snacks to secure a table and enjoyed great view of the show. The show happened at 9:00 Sat/Sun when we were there in September

    Our visit to Son Tra
The Son Tra night market, located near the iconic Dragon Bridge, proved to be a memorable experience. While shopping options were somewhat repetitive, what truly fascinated us was the diverse array of delectable food. From local delicacies to international flavors, the market offered a culinary adventure. Exploring the vibrant food scene here is a must, even if shopping takes a back seat. It's an experience that adds a unique and flavorful touch to your visit to this bustling city.

Street food, souvenirs, not so busy on weeknight
Averagely busy on a Tuesday night. Still ran in the rain with tarp covers. Lots of the stalls selling the same food or souvenir gifts. Vendors try to sell to you at every stall then when you stop to buy they try make you buy more. If you exit 100m down the path is the dragon bridge which is worth checking out.

Son Tra Night Market in Da nang
Place to visit in the evenings from 7 Pm to 11 pm. Has lots of locals selling their goods like souvenirs , magnets , purses , Shoes , toys , Hats , Dresses, Electronic Gadgets etc. Be ready to bargain and strike a great deal. Start from 50% of the quoted price and they usually sell it quite near their original price if you bargain. Has a separate section specifically for food as well.

    Perfect for the seafood lover
If you like seafood you must visit this market. We ordered a platter of raw seafood which was then cooked on charcoal grilled and topped with garlic, chilli and butter. The platter consisted of 3 lobsters, 5 huge prawns, calamari, pippies and razor clams. It cost a total of 400,000 Dong which is about $20 AUD. Highly recommend.

Good massage at the night market
Open, spacious night market that was airy & not stuffy like Hoi A night market. I like the massage stall, paid VND 100,000 for a 30 min combo massage of head, shoulder & foot. Among the merchandise’s sold here are souvenirs. straw products like bags, hats, clothing, toys & all kinds of snacks. It is a good way to spend time here after dinner.

    Dinner, shopping, souvenirs
We were 15 days in total in all Vietnam, from south to north, visited many night markets, but found this one as the best. It's located just by the Dragon bridge (at the head's side). Market is not that big, however sellers are not pushy and the prices more reasonable than on others. It has a big food area from entrance to the right with huge choice of good and cheap food, had our dinner there. The rest is a mix of clothes, home appliancies, souvenirs, etc...

This is like any night market which you will find across south east Asia. The market has a lot of stalls selling souvenirs and other knickknacks. Get a feel of the prices by going around before buying anything and then bargain. Bargain with a smile. Another section of the market is dedicated for food. You get excellent sea food at very reasonable prices.

This is a great night market full of bargains and food options. Really worth a visit, have some dinner then walk through the market toward the river to see the Dragon Bridge. This can also be paired with a visit to the Love Lock Bridge. A great night out.

This market and surrounding massage places is what you do while waiting for the dragon bridge show. It's large - I'd guess 100 booths, but most of the booths sell the same mass-produced Viet souvenirs, that are low on quality and high on bargaining: they start at twice the price you can actually buy it for, but it's still ridiculously cheap.

If you love quality, this isn't it, but if you're looking for fridge magnets in the shape of the iconic hat, fiber bags with a cutsie character on them, or elastic waste pants, this is the place.

The market gets VERY crowded closer to 9pm when the dragon show starts, and there's no way to get out other than to go through the crowds. So if you don't like crowds, avoid it then. See my other review on avoiding the dragon bridge show altogether.

You also have to be careful of pickpockets, which isn't easy given the thousands of people crammed into the small lanes between booths.

The market itself includes surrounding massage places, and I highly recommend popping in for 30 min to avoid the bulging markets crowd. I don't normally like intense massages but they're good at what they do, and you can tell them to be more gentle. Mine was one of the best shoulder massages I've ever had, but my daughter found her leg and foot massage too intense. Note - although tipping isn't mandatory it's certainly appreciated and given the massages are about d130, US$5, anything you provide to the masseurs themselves goes a long way.

This place is right next to the Dragon bridge and commonly known as Son Tra night market. A happening place bustling with street vendors with lots of noise and light. The makeshift shops are spilling with a variety of fares from souvenirs to clothes and shoes. Though the prices are consistent amongst the vendors, you need to have a very strong bargaining skills.
There is a dedicated lane for the food vendors. The variety of food dominates with seafood and pork.
A well recommended place for people who enjoy crowd. One can club the dragon fire show with the night shopping.

I was disappointed by my visit to Da Nang's Night Market. I ate items from four different food carts. The food was sub-par compared to what I've eaten during the rest of my trip in Vietnam, and I was not impressed with the hygiene practices of most of the vendors.

On the plus side, the market is good if you want to be well-positioned to see the daily 9 pm Dragon Bridge fire and water show or if you want to people watch foreign tourists.

Decent night market right next to dragon bridge.

As you enter, a big street food area to the right with reasonable prices.

Straight and to the left, mostly souvenir shops, clothing, purses, and accessories. You will need to bargain your way down here.

We bought an item for 250 k after initially being asked 650 k, so almost one third of the price. So stand your grounds, and do not pay more than what you believe is a fair and affordable price to you.

Worth a visit if you are in the area and have nothing better to do. Can be good to grab a bite or buy a souvenir.

It’s way too touristy and it’s like half of its souvenirs.
That being said we did manage to find a light jacket at a decent price.

Great place for a mooch at night and shopping for knock off clothes and souvenirs. We found a stall where you can print your favourite photo onto a phone case which was a real hit.
