Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Accidentally found - didn’t know this was even here but what an asset to the area. We popped in a couple of hours prior to closing and you certainly need that time to get the best experience from here. Extensive collection of items, restorations and historical information for Manawatu and beyond. Really enjoyed the ‘gig ride experience’…sit in a gig with a screen that takes you around Fielding. All the vehicles and machinery are certainly honoured when they join this collection. Well done to the many volunteers and staff who make this place happen. Will certainly recommend to those I know are passing through the area.

Wonderful museum, from the native birds serenading you into the museum, to the displays and ride in the gig
Kids loved it
Also the events during the holidays teaching children skills from woodworking to knitting from the local volunteers - makes this a great place for everyone to visit

Although the official name is Coach House Museum but this museum displays more wider displays, which actually is the history of rural life in Manawatu area covering 140 years history of farming and agriculture things. Plenty of exhibits from coaches, Farm Machines John Deere, tools, tractors, productions of milk and butter, timber, to old building photos. Well, it was good to spend our time and learn something about the history of old rural life of this region.

This museum in Feilding, New Zealand is probably on of the best lesser known museums in the country and is well worth the visit. The displays are mainly on agricultural history of the area and they do have several interactive displays and a few yesteryear games that kids will enjoy (they will love the spinning top game). There is a lot of old farming equipment but they aren't just sitting there rusting away, as they are in almost mint condition and some of them look like they still get used today. The cost is only $12 per adult and $6 per child so anyone can afford to go and have a look. Expect a visit to take 1 to 1-1/2 hours.

We thought this museum was fantastic with the artefacts and information about how life was in the yesteryears. The John Deere tractors and other machinery displays were a huge hit with our kids. Plus the simulation horse and cart ride went down very well with our two young boys. We would recommend this place for anyone interested in history and how life once was.
