Nice mall in the Central Business District of Cape Town. Although this picture was taken in 2014, I have recently went to Cape Town in 2019.

Blue Route Mall is spacious that even when its busy the passages don't feel to over crowded. Thats not to say you won't stand in a long queue in a busy shop on a busy day but at least when walking between the shops you don't feel like you're going to trip over everyone or walk at a snails pace behind someone.
This mall has a movie cinema, a few restaurants, larger grocery stores like Woolworths and Checkers as well as a lot of the regular chains that are available in SA like Clicks, Dischem and Dion wired PLUS plenty more.
Lots of parking available.

Wow what a nice mall in the south. Huge improvement from the precious Blue Route. The center management seriously need to employ a information person to assist the elderly as the battle to understand the information boards. Secondly management need to Chase the smokers that stand right outside the entrance / exit. One person was leaning right on the no smoking sign. Complements on keeping the mall spotless. Great selection of stores.

Good range of all sorts of shops and services. Lost of fast foods places but no good restaurants really- except for woolworths cafe which is good here. Often very spacious and open even with lots of people

The Blue Route Mall situated in Tokai, is one of Cape Town's oldest shopping centre's having opened its doors in the early 1970's. Over the years a number of alterations took place until its recent revamp which now boasts an impressive 56 600m2 area, with over 2,800 undercover and open vehicle parking bays, and over 120 shops and restaurants. Anchor tenants include Checkers Hyper, Woolworths and Edgars with others like Truworths, Foschini and Mr Price with fashion retailers including Forever New, Old Khaki, Cotton On Body and many, many more.
The Blue Route Mall truly is a one-stop destination guaranteed to satisfy not only one's shopping needs but entertainment as well. Good clean mall but the shops have limited variety of items. It could also do with a shopping directory board to indicate all the shops.

Sorting my rent, and I stopped around at a few bookstores...there are two inside,
...and a few more near the mall...
...I had a bite to eat at the food mall earlier in the week. However, it was the biltong counter then Stella's which was best...

DEMETRIE JNR, a 20 year old waitron at Stella's suggest that I try 1 AMSTERDAMERS... "amsterdamertjie"
I suggested that I have it with ice cream!
A DEFINITE WIN WIN COMBINATION. I enjoyed...
I asked him if I could take a PIC since I am on TRIP ADVISOR as a WRITER... see PIC ✅
I went to REM. Since my mom had passed away last year at age 83 years.
I would take my mom for a drive out to Tokai where she loved the trees...after those, we stopped off at Stella's once.
MY MOM ENJOYED...
I enjoyed the desserts very much and the coffee is extremely strong. I had just one than two capsules and it was HEAVY BANANAS...since I also enjoyed a BANANA BOAT.
Good service.

Most required shops, could have done with more original food places. The play area was grimy and you had to pay even if you stayed with your child. Good parking and convenient access from Muizenberg.

Our crunch burgers was so fresh last night. And it was warm. The cheese melted so nice on it. The order went quick also

Mugg & Bean has been a preferred restaurant for a catch up cuppa with a friend or family member. I'm seldom disappointed with the food or service. This visit was no different. I enjoyed the most delicious apple and cinnamon muffin. As always a busy vibe with lots of chatter which lends to the charm of Mugg & Bean in general. While I do find their prices quite high, I'm always satisfied with their good sized portions and tastiness. So whether it's cakes and coffee or brekkie and a power smoothie, there is something for everyone. What is also nice about Mugg & Bean is that it is child friendly and one never feels rushed, you can sit and chat as long as you like. It will remain a fav spot!
