In summer the river running below the castelo is dammed to make a beautiful swimming pool. The water, being fresh from the mountains, is always cold. The area surrounding the pool is great for picnics, shady and cool in summer. A very oleasant spot indeed....More

Very nice and relaxing natural pool. The water is refreshingly cold on a hot day. The pool is cleverly made out of the river, and is definitely a must see, must swim in :-)
