Maroubra is the biggest beach in the eastern suburbs and is pretty easy to park at and easy to find good spots on the sand. The swimming is often good, with good waves above fairly shallow water. Just stay away from the surfers. Unfortunately, the...More

One of the best spots for photography in Sydney. It has everything - beach, rocks, cliffs, pools, waves. Anything you will ever need to shoot a beautiful sunrise. I go to this spot quite often and manage to create different shots every time.

Maroubra beach is a beautiful long beach that is surrounded by nature. Offering an amazing board walk, perfect waves and shops/cafes adjacent to the water. Highly recommend going for a solo day or a family/friend day out. It's far less crowded than Bondi

When the swell is pumping, this place goes OFF. Best waves I have ever had. Love this beach so much.

Hi, this is the beach where less tourists go, they all go to Bondi or Manli, and they miss something. You can walk from Bondi beach to Maroubra and end up with a great lunch on the beach or cross the Malabar headland. Worht coming.

Very pretty and fresh air was welcome after a week of rain. Plenty to see and do. We found a great cafe which served delicious food away from the beachfront crazy.

Nice waves... Strong currents but can be very crowded... Great place for evening surf when sun is going down.
