From Cape Bridgewater town, which is about a 20 min drive from Portland, head down the Blowhole Road and to the carpark. A flat walking track (about 1 km return) takes tourists to the "petrified rock formation forest". Certainly worth a look at these very...More

Both these attractions aren't far to walk to from the car park. The petrified forest is both eerie & interesting. The Blowhole is spectacular. .. i could've stood and watched it all day 😀 You can't take pets though.

It’s not but it’s worth a visit - lots of fabulous scenery and the occasional rock wallaby We looked for blue whales - their spout can be seen up to 10 kms - not this trip now we have to come back 😎

Stayed in Portland with our family, and this was worth the trip to Cape Bridgewater! Don’t expect an actual petrified “forest” (not actually trees), and you’ll appreciate the site more. It’s a stunning piece of earth, with incredible views of the powerful ocean and unique...More

Unfortunately we came at a time the it was cloudy and hardly any wind. Therefor there was nothing to see at the blowholes other than a few waves in the distance. The petrified forest is honestly not my thing. A few stalagtite-like pilars that need...More

The walk to the petrified forest feels like a walk on mars! I have not seen such a unique landscape anywhere else, it is very intriguing, and very scenic. The blowholes are also offer great views, and at certain times of the year, you can...More
