This is worth seeing but it would be more impressive at high tide. We went on a fairly tame day and the waves were just not as spectacular as other blowholes. Also watch your planned walk - the blowholes and the petrified forest would be...More

Cannot express how beautiful the petrified forest is. The landscape changes dramatically and you think you are walking on Mars. A definite must see on your travels.

The Petrified Forest is a great Tourist place to take visitors, who enjoy the outdoors. A friend from Melbourne and I stayed at the Warrnambool BackPacker's for a week. She loved the Petrified Forest Adventure.

From Cape Bridgewater town, which is about a 20 min drive from Portland, head down the Blowhole Road and to the carpark. A flat walking track (about 1 km return) takes tourists to the "petrified rock formation forest". Certainly worth a look at these very...More

Both these attractions aren't far to walk to from the car park. The petrified forest is both eerie & interesting. The Blowhole is spectacular. .. i could've stood and watched it all day 😀 You can't take pets though.

I love this place and been here more than once in the years I come to Portland. This petrified forest on quick look seems like rocks but once you absorb it you start seeing the tree stumps of a prehistoric forest which has now been...More
