Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great selection of farm buildings from the last centuries. Was there when it was closed, will go back during opening hours.

We stopped to look at the staff church but the bonus of the collection old buildings which have been brought here and reconstructed is wonderful. They are full of furniture and farm tools. Everything has been donated to the museum. This is the best museum we have bern to in Norway. If you know nothing about Norway, this is a must.
The staff are warm and charming.
Dont be confused with the othe staff church down in the town. It is old but not a patch on this unique church.

Nice open air museum. To really enjoy it, you need to take your time to read the history about the village and church. You easily spend two hours if you do this. Some information is not fully available in English, only a summary. The Stavkirke is really nice. Difficult to show this ok pictures. Nothing looks fake like in other churches. No painting is redone. Also the coffee and waffles are also nice :).
