To get there we had to drive some six kilometres on a rough gravel road, and then walk some twenty minutes on a narrow path through rolling green farmland till we reached the huge dunes. But when you climb down magnificent, spectacular scenery unfolds in...More

A perfect way to discover the golden bay is to go to the parking at Pupongalate in the afternoon, maybe 1700 pm. From there we walked to the other side of the hills, mainly through typically NZ farmland, beautifull, before arriving at the enormous beach...More

Not much to say , wish I had more time here. Weather was poor but I was there in their spring. The whole area is stunning with nice places to eat and fun things to do.
