Disappointed
May 2018 • Solo
Having stopped here on business I was appalled by this pub. I could not believe how the landlady was behaving and customers being rude to staff.
The food I ordered took an age to arrive and was plonked down in front of me without a word being said.
I will not be back to this pub and I won’t recommend it.

What a let down
Jul 2017 • Family
Last time I was travelling to Cornwall I stopped here for Sunday lunch and the food and staff were great. However, I stopped by in the evening and could not believe the difference, the landlady really let this place down by having far too much to drink and I really could not believe the way she was allowing customers to speak to her staff. The food was still good but I would avoid in future as the experience left me disappointed and quite shocked that staff have to put up with being treated like this.

Great pub
Sep 2016 • Friends
Always enjoy the pub, food medium rare, beer and people great, I have had the steak, a bit pricey and not quite cooked to perfection, however I love the pub the location and the people who have served me I cannot fault, in the end its a pub, not a fine dining restaurant and for that they do a great job.

Great place to unwind and take in the wonderful countryside.Staff very attentive and helpful . Wonderful venue within a short distance of the Yeovilton Air Museum and the Haynes Motor Museum. Camelot walks available in the area.

Great local pub

We stopped by for dinner, and the place was filled with happy chatter from the local folks, and multiple fireplaces glowing. They serve great local ales and warm filling specials and meals, we were glad we stopped!

Good for lunch
Jan 2014 • Couples
We called in here for a lunchtime snack after visiting the nearby Haynes Motor Museum (also a great visit). The most massive sandwiches at v.reasonable price and a friendly landlady who has recently taken over the pub. Lots of information displayed about the nearby Cadbury Castle iron age fort.
