Get up early to beat the tour buses (and the heat). Just before sunset we drove to the Piccaninny Creek trail. Our plan was to walk as far in as would could (Cathedral Gorge) then visit everything on our way out. This took about 2-3...More

Despite the very poor and rough 50km entry road into Purnululu Park and out again, to see the Bungle Bungles (as popularly known), this is a natural phenomenon that no-one should miss, especially if travelling in that part of the country. The landscape is so...More

Great park with an exiting 4WD road to it. I would recommend a 2day visit: One full day for the North and one for the South. This also allows you some time to see the sunrise/sunset. The people at the Visitor Centre can tell you...More

What an unique piece of Australia. Extraordinary colours and the black and red sandstone are lined like no other attraction. The walk to the Cathedral gorge is a must do and is only two kms return and well worth it to see this heritage site.

Yes, you do need a parks pass which can be obtained at the ranger's station/visitors centre in the park.
