At Inland Adventures we offer stunning full day and multi day wilderness raft tours as well as a fun half day family trip. The rivers we raft range from friendly grade 2 to exhilerating grade 4 so there is something for everyone. Our day trip on the Upper Grey River/Māwheranui is our most popular tour. The grade 3 rapids keep you entertained all day and the towering mountains, steep walled gorges and lush green native forest mean this trip is jam packed with amazing scenery. If you are really wanting to spend some time in the New Zealand wilderness then a multi day trip is for you. Choose between a longer stretch of the Upper Grey River or the Waiau River near Hanmer Springs. We supply the camping gear as well as delicious meals and snacks. Evenings spent beside the river with a cozy fire are pretty special.

We had an absolutely amazing day rafting the Grey River, swimming in the beautiful clear blue water and enjoying a lovely lunch (provided) in one of the spectacular gorges along the way. Guides, Nathan and Mila, were fantastic, knowledgeable and friendly. All five of us, aged 13 and up, thoroughly enjoyed the trip. It is the highlight of our NZ adventures. I highly recommend this trip to all.

We thoroughly enjoyed our one day rafting trip on the stunning Grey/Māwheranui river. Nathan was a top host, keeping us laughing, informed and safe throughout the whole day. We even received some epic photos of the day, and we especially loved the ginger slices at lunch. Would definitely book again!

We wanted to thank Nathan, Kate and our tour guide Joey for the most memorable and fun day EVER!
We went on the grey wilderness 1 day trip and everything was taken care for us, including a fantastic lunch.
We never felt unsafe and the team made us feel very welcome and were also very informative. We were a group of 4 adults who will never forget this day.

My friends and I enjoyed a delightful Boxing Day raft down the Grey River with Nathan and Loz. Nathan's knowledge of the area and the river made for an absolute hoot of a time. We all absolutely loved it and Ruth's ginger crunch was a definite highlight! Thank you Nathan!

Wow! We took the children (aged 8 and 11) on the half-day raft adventure on the Arnold River and would highly recommend it! Our tour guide Nathan made sure that we all felt safe and confident, particularly as it was the first time the children had been rafting. We all had an absolutely fantastic time and wish we could go again!

We had a great few hours on the Arnold River with Nathan. Very experienced guides, a focus on safety but also a big focus on having fun and enjoying the ride. Nathan is a excellent operator, even ringing a few days beforehand to check all was okay with the planned trip (family of 4), and went over some options. Much appreciated. Great scenery and a memorable family experience. We're all keen to return for a longer trip in the future. Highly recommended!

Couldn’t have asked for a better experience with Nathan. Very knowledgeable in his field and of the area. Beautiful scenery and a truly great experience. Would highly recommend doing one of the trips, next time we will definitely do a multi day trip.

Fantastic overnight trip, woulddo again.
Our guide: Casey Vincent was amazing, even when the children were crying and causing absolute grief, she had a stunningly positive attitude and wonderful way of dealing with them. She probably deserves a raise...

We have just returned from a 5 day Clarence river trip. We had a fantastic time. Ruth and Nathan gave us a trip we will never forget. We were looked after so well...the food was amazing, the camp sites were beautiful, even in the rain they made sure we were warm and ensured that everyone's needs were attended to. The river itself gave us some great rapids and also time to check out the bird life and see the changes to the river post 2016 earthquake. We also had a 5 other customers on the trip and over the 5 days we got to know them really well. We had lots of laughs and were lucky to have some bird experts on board so got to identify some bird species...thanks you guys you added to a wonderful 5 days. Thanks so much Ruth and Nathan for a great 5 days away.

A group of 6 of us rafted the Waiau River with Inland Adventures. It was fantastic fun! Incredible guides, fabulous food, great gear and amazing scenery. And some very cool rapids too. So good, we're arranging another trip later in the year.
