At Inland Adventures we offer stunning full day and multi day wilderness raft tours as well as a fun half day family trip. The rivers we raft range from friendly grade 2 to exhilerating grade 4 so there is something for everyone. Our day trip on the Upper Grey River/Māwheranui is our most popular tour. The grade 3 rapids keep you entertained all day and the towering mountains, steep walled gorges and lush green native forest mean this trip is jam packed with amazing scenery. If you are really wanting to spend some time in the New Zealand wilderness then a multi day trip is for you. Choose between a longer stretch of the Upper Grey River or the Waiau River near Hanmer Springs. We supply the camping gear as well as delicious meals and snacks. Evenings spent beside the river with a cozy fire are pretty special.

We arranged a bespoke one boat trip for 3 days down the upper grey. The scenery was marvellous. Great variety and beautiful gorge sections. We were lucky enough to get Nathan who was super experienced and happy to accomodate our fishing stop requests and then looked after us expertly down the rapids and at camp. The food was first class with delicious vegan additions by Ruth for me. I Highly recommend Nathan and his company. We are talking to him already about the next rafting gig. Thanks for everything Nathan.

My family and I did the Arnold Family Raft 1/2 Day Tour with Nathan and it exceeded all expectations.
It was my children's (11, 10 and 6 years) first exposure to white water rafting and it was perfect. Nathan was so clear on what to expect and made it fun for the whole family. He regularly checked in with the kids to make sure they felt comfortable and we all had a blast.
Nathan took us rafting, let us go for a dip in the water and even fed us and gave us a warm drink at the end of the day.
Would highly recommend Inland Adventures.

We did the 1-day wilderness adventure on the Grey river. Was fantastic. Can't recommend this enough. Great rapids for family fun. Our kids are 12 and 14 and they loved it.

Wow! We took the children (aged 8 and 11) on the half-day raft adventure on the Arnold River and would highly recommend it! Our tour guide Nathan made sure that we all felt safe and confident, particularly as it was the first time the children had been rafting. We all had an absolutely fantastic time and wish we could go again!

Great way to spend the day and see the upper Grey river - awesome guide -friendly, considerate and helpful. Totally recommend this for most age groups.

We did the one day grey wilderness rafting and it was fantastic. Nathan was an excellent guide who made the trip fun and easy, great vibes and a really enjoyable day out- would 100% recommend

We had a great few hours on the Arnold River with Nathan. Very experienced guides, a focus on safety but also a big focus on having fun and enjoying the ride. Nathan is a excellent operator, even ringing a few days beforehand to check all was okay with the planned trip (family of 4), and went over some options. Much appreciated. Great scenery and a memorable family experience. We're all keen to return for a longer trip in the future. Highly recommended!

Worth every cent, and can't wait to go again. We were very well cared for, Nathan and Bubbles were fantastic. Rapids were thrilling, gorge beautiful, lunch delicious. Can't fault this fabulous day one bit!

Couldn’t have asked for a better experience with Nathan. Very knowledgeable in his field and of the area. Beautiful scenery and a truly great experience. Would highly recommend doing one of the trips, next time we will definitely do a multi day trip.

A group of 6 of us rafted the Waiau River with Inland Adventures. It was fantastic fun! Incredible guides, fabulous food, great gear and amazing scenery. And some very cool rapids too. So good, we're arranging another trip later in the year.
