First impressions are that this is not going to be an amazing experience. A small, unremarkable pub with a sea of tarmac in front. Inside, quite a neat and well looked after local. Massive projection screen with the sport on. Big garden with some good play equipment and a few tables dotted around. Weirdly, no bar food available on Sundays and the only way to eat is to have a pre-booked roast at one of the (very few) tables inside. Covid management pretty lacklustre; there's a one way system around the pub and a guest book to sign in, but no sanitiser and the staff (and most customers) are not keeping safe distances or wearing face coverings etc. It appears to be run, presumably owned, by a couple who probably wish they had retired already. They seem unhappy and the woman in particular seems to view customers as a nuisance. All in all, there are many worse places, but I wouldn't bother making the trip here.

This is a fantastic pub for families. The garden is a real asset. Food is freshly prepared and always delicious. Can't recommend highly enough.

Just a quick one to say that we enjoyed our visit. We had just walked to the station to find where it was and happened to find this pub. Welcoming staff. Lovely beer and a very nice meal. Did not stay long but we would certainly return next time we are in the area.
