Il convento e' collocato sulla collina del Parco di Nocera Inferiore. Fondato nel 1563, fu danneggiato dall'eruzione del Vesuvio nel 1631. Nei successivi secoli e fino ad oggi,la struttura ha avuto bisogno di interventi continui per il suo mantenimento .
Entrando all'interno si ammira un coro ligneo del 1700,dipinti , lastre tombali e una pavimentazione di maioliche ,con i toni del blu ,che riproduce quella originale .
Dal convento e' possibile raggiungere il castello medioevale,sovrastante Nocera,che è stato abbandonato per molti anni e, grazie all'Associazione culturale "Ridiamo vita al Castello", e' tornato a rivivere con iniziative culturali di buon livello.

Questo convento con l'annessa chiesa fondata nel 1563 da Alfonso Carafa merita una visita sia per la posizione del sito ed anche per la chiesa ove si conserva ancora la tomba del suo fondatore. Peccato che alcuni pezzi di questo monumento funebre siano stati rubati. Una fotografia mette in evidenza la tomba prima che avvenisse il furto. Da vedere se si visita questa zona.
