Easy walk to Kukutauwhao Island but the track from the beach to the top towards the light house is quite physical demanding. Nevertheless, the first part of the walkway has cover the best view so not necessary to do the climbing.

Visited this lighthouse headland 2 years ago---easy walk and I enjoyed it. you walk down a steep path to sea rocks that you hop over to get to a little beach and then a bush path to the lighthouse.

easy access to amazing views. swim on the way. really get your heart rate up. Could do with some camera's in the car park due to theiving.

This is an excellent trip but at high tide you only go halfway so be careful not to get stranded. There is a steep descent and climb but is worth it and just take your time.
