We rode our bikes to Muiderslot from Central Amsterdam - we used Google maps and it was a great bike ride through parks. It took a little more than a hour to bike here. Really enjoyed the bike ride and would recommend that. The castle...More

Topped off with a tour of Muiderslot Castle. It is a beautifully restored Castle fitted out with period furniture, lots of art work and an interesting history. We thought the tour was most worthwhile. The tour guide was excellent and very generous with her time...More

You cannot visit the rooms and most of the castle by yourself, but you need to book a guided tour. We took a tour in Dutch, since it was not available in English. It was a pity because the description added lot of interesting stories....More

Spent a few hours here on a sunday. Took a guided tour of the residential area which was very informative. Did the rest on our own. Also had a great apple pie at the restaurant. Well worth the time. The falconry/bird guy was interesting too.

We visited the Castle during week days (not too many tourists). The Castle is quite far from Amsterdam, although its sold as Amsterdam or Muiden Castle :-)) It has a well kept collection, children’s corner and sunny views from the Towers on the seaside, river...More

A great little castle to visit. Remember to book the extra guided tour. It is well worth it. The tour was in dutch but there were English written guides to read.

The queue can get pretty long. The castle opens only at 12 am. We were there at 11:45, and there were already 10-15 people waiting, and after us quite few more built-up fast before the castle opening. We had the museum card... More
