I love Tout Va Bien fabric because of how unique and high quality it is. The dyes do not run when washed, which was my primary concern. I adore the fact that everything is made by hand. I purchased two different fabrics using the same printing block, but with different colors. That is one of the perks of purchasing this batik cloth, it is completely customizable to your preferences and taste. I highly recommend them!

You couldn't ask for a better day in Bohican. My family was visiting a Peace Corps volunteer & friend who helped organize a batik workshop with Pauline. We learned the whole process of making batik art. Pauline has a range of cool wax stamps that make it fun and easy to be creative, even for a non-artist. Pauline is an amazing artist herself, but is also relaxed & patient, in French & English. The workshop is run in the compound at Pauline's home, a short walk from the crazy central market of Bohican - we found tasty beignet, avocado sandwiches, CDs, La Beninoise, and all the sights & sounds you hope to find on an African visit. You don't want to miss this Tout Va Bien workshop if you are in the area.

My family came to have a workshop with Pauline. We were very warmly received in her beautiful home studio. Her artist husband, Julien, was also there. We were able to see and appreciate not only Pauline's skills as a batik artist but also the captivating work that her husband makes. Our experience was delightful. Pauline showed us the process that she uses of melting wax, using the wax to paint and stamp on fabric and then the magic of dying it and letting it develop in the sunlight. We each came away with a beautiful keepsake of our visit. We could not have been more delighted with our visit to Tout Va Bien!

I am an American living in Benin, and I did a Batik session at Tout Va Bien with my family when they came to visit me. It was a wonderful experience! Pauline and Julien are spirited teachers, and very good in both English and French. The class was perfect for all levels of artists. Some made patterns on their fabric with stamps that Julien himself hand-carved. Others dared to free-hand their entire design. It was great fun, and we walked away with 5 beautiful, African Batik wall-hangings. A lovely souvenir, and a great memory from our trip. Thanks Pauline and Julien!
