His monastery of nuns is interesting. It is part of the 3 big monasteries in the region. The visit explains what nuns were doing, how they interacted with local lords and the rest of the church. The video explanation is a great one.

A convent, rather than a monastery or abbey. It's smaller and more refined than its bigger brethren in the Cistercian triangle. Well worth getting into.

The monastery was closed when we got there. The man at the wine store/tourist information office tried to explain to us when they open but his English was not very good and I didn't understand him. The monastery's exterior looks very interesting. And the views...More

a truly traditional buildings, with nice atmosphere. Calm your heart down, take a walk around the village, or take a look around this area with car.

Only open at weekends and Easter week etc, in spite of what the guide books say. Didn't seem to be worth the drive after the magnificent setting and buildings of Poblet and Santes Creus

fair enough, its a monastery, not disneyland, so I'm not complaining, but would be good to let visitors know that its closed
