You'll learn about history, and what people went through back in the Middle Ages. Those thick walls can withstand many centuries, if not millennia. I recommend it!

This monastery is much smaller and less decorated than the beautiful monasteries of Poblet and S Creus. Don't bother if you don't speak Spanish or Catalan. You have to visit it by a guided tour that is not in other languages, it's too long and...More

His monastery of nuns is interesting. It is part of the 3 big monasteries in the region. The visit explains what nuns were doing, how they interacted with local lords and the rest of the church. The video explanation is a great one.

A convent, rather than a monastery or abbey. It's smaller and more refined than its bigger brethren in the Cistercian triangle. Well worth getting into.

A high historical value monastery from XI century, surrounded by a stunning landscape in the midst of the Cistercian Route. The guided tour has the ideal last (1 hour) where trough a pleasant and dynamic way it is explained the main architectonic aspects of the...More

You'll need to get here by car. Part of the Ruta del Cister of the three Cistercian monasteries, including Poblet and Santes Creus; you can get a joint ticket for the three and get a discount. If you are driving around this área by car,...More

Only open at weekends and Easter week etc, in spite of what the guide books say. Didn't seem to be worth the drive after the magnificent setting and buildings of Poblet and Santes Creus
