One of the most beautiful beaches in the Spanish north! Very fine sand, no waves, warmer water -- perfect for little kids, paddle boarding, or just sunbathing. There's a trail to the top of the cliff with a beautiful lookout point. Two restaurants overlooking the...More

We came to Llanes on a day trip from Ribadesella and found the beautiful Poo beach. Not a very nice name but it really is beautiful. There is a lovely cliff walk where you get a fabulous view of the castle. There are many bars...More

Unfortunately, we visited at low tide so the sea was out and we didn't get to appreciate the full beauty of the beach. Download an app like 'My Tide Times' on your phone and check out the times for high tide. That way you can...More

An absolutely stunning beach. It is a sheltered sandy lagoon that empties out at low tide. It is sheltered from the surf so it is very safe for children. Parking is cheap and convenient.

A very different beach close to the town of Llanes. It sits in a sort of a funneled gorge that disimbarks in the Cantabrian sea and depending on the tide it could either be completely filled with water or completely devoid of it. The surroundings...More

Great place, awesome to spend the day and enjoy the beauty, super calm water, you can hike the cliffs, take a walk in the shallow water and really cool to watch the water in low and high tide.

Like a mill pond at high tide, great for hiring a SUP or kayak, then great breakers and caves to explore at low tide when it's more suitable for surfing. Beautiful, interesting place.

Popular in summer but not packed. Restaurant, cafe and paddle board hire are available. Water is shallow for a long way so good for small children.
